Dubai Investments Real Estate (DIR) and Al Mujama, working with Yellow Door Energy and Clyde Engineering, have just put a new solar power plant into action in the RITAJ community inside Dubai Investments Park.
The solar plant covers nine residential buildings and has over 2,000 solar panels. It's expected to create 1.9 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year, enough to power the buildings for 30% of their needs. [?] The project will also make a big difference for the environment by reducing carbon emissions by 756,000 kilograms per year, like taking over 160 cars off the road! The project is set up as a solar lease, meaning that Al Mujama gets to save money on their energy bills without paying for the plant upfront.

3. Abu Dhabi: Al Reem Island project

Real estate developer MERED is expanding its operations to Abu Dhabi by acquiring a prime waterfront plot on Al Reem Island. The plot, spanning 11,890 square meters, is currently in the schematic design stage for a future development project. [?] The location offers convenient access to various amenities, including:

The UAE Cabinet has approved 2,618 housing units for citizens during the first half of 2024, worth over $544 million. This initiative includes 631 grants totaling $117 million and 1,987 housing loans and financing requests worth $434 million. [?]
This project is part of the UAE's commitment to providing adequate housing for its citizens. A total of $8.7 billion has been allocated for 34,000 housing units over the next six years.
Citizens earning $4,083 per month are eligible for grants up to $326,705. The "Manzili" bundle has also been launched, offering 18 housing services to citizens through collaboration with 24 government entities, simplifying the process and required documentation. [?]

6. Saudi Arabia: Khobar Stadium

ROSHN Group, a top real estate developer in Saudi Arabia, has partnered with Aramco to build a new 47,000-seat stadium on the country's eastern coast in Khobar.
The Saudi Press Agency announced that this multi-purpose stadium is expected to be ready by 2026. It will be used for both national and international events, including the AFC Asian Cup in January 2027. The stadium will also be the home ground for Al Qadsiah Club, which is owned by Aramco.
The stadium's design is inspired by whirlpool-like formations found in the Arabian Gulf near Khobar. It will include air conditioning systems, VIP areas, and facilities designed to meet the needs of the community and people with disabilities.

Real estate developer DAMAC Properties has announced a new project of branded residences on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah.
Shoreline by DAMAC is a collection of beachfront homes designed in partnership with BABOLEX, the luxury collection of contemporary art icon Vincent Faudemer.
DAMAC previously worked with BABOLEX on the Coral Reef project in Dubai.

8. Iraq: Ur Tourist City Project in Dhi Qar Governorate

Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shi'a Al-Sudani officially opened the first part of the Ur Tourist City project in Dhi Qar Governorate.
The first phase of this project includes a new cultural center, an open-air Sumerian theater, a closed Ur theater, a center for interfaith dialogue, and an administrative building, according to the Prime Minister's office.
Al-Sudani's office has also announced plans for more parts of the project. These include a 400-room hotel, a drama production city, the Khatam Al-Anbiya Mosque, and a heritage market, all located within Ur City. This whole project is part of a plan funded by the Dhi Qar Construction Fund.
